Pastor's Endorsement of Romance, Rice and  Reality Class (Christian version) based on C-PREP

Dear Bob,

I want to thank you for being here for “Romance, Rice, and Reality!” It was a wonderful Friday night and Saturday morning. My wife and I really enjoyed being a part of that. And, the tools you shared with us will benefit us in the years that we have ahead of us. I know you are not supposed to be able to “teach an old dog new tricks!” But, even after almost 40 years of marriage, there are lots of things we still need to learn. And, thank God we are still learning!

This weekend I know all the other couples at New Hanover really appreciated, too. I anticipate that we will have new ministries at New Hanover gearing up to help us build stronger marriages. Hopefully, “Romance, Rice, and Marriage” will just be the first step in a much broader effort here. I am looking forward to “Marriage Mentor Training” this winter as you help us disciple others in the gift of marriage in this community.

The materials you used were very helpful; the techniques were a lot of fun and not threatening at all.

We are so blessed to have you and “First Things First” here in Richmond to make our churches and our metropolitan community stronger and more “Christ-like!”
